First, types of food that are prohibited from direct contact

High-fat foods: PVC bags must not be used to package foods with high fat content such as meat, cooked food, and tofu. Plasticizers in PVC (such as DEHA) are prone to migrate into food when exposed to high temperatures or in contact with oils. Long-term intake may pose a threat to human health.

High-temperature food: PVC bags should not be used for heating in a microwave oven or holding hot food. High temperatures will accelerate the release of plasticizers, causing harmful substances to seep into the food.

Second, usage restrictions

Packaging objects: Only allowed for the packaging of fresh foods such as vegetables and fruits that are not prone to spoilage and do not need to be eaten directly.

Marking requirements: Warning information such as “Do not come into contact with oily food” and “Do not heat in a microwave oven” must be clearly marked.

Quality standard: The residual amount of vinyl chloride monomer must be less than 1mg/kg, in compliance with the requirements of GB 9681-1988 “Hygienic Standard for Polyvinyl Chloride Molded Products for Food Packaging”.

Recommended materials: Prioritize the use of safe materials such as PE (polyethylene) and PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride). PE bags are suitable for packaging fruits and vegetables, while PVDC bags can be used for cooked food, ham and other foods that require strong barrier properties.

Identification: When purchasing, check the packaging labels and make sure to recognize the words “Food Grade” or “for food Use”. Avoid using PVC bags without labels or with unclear labels.

Fourth, safety usage suggestions

Avoid reuse: Disposable PVC bags must not be reused to prevent cross-contamination.

Storage conditions: It should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature environments.

Disposal: After use, it should be sorted and disposed of as recyclable materials to reduce environmental pollution.

Fifth, the risk of illegal use

Health hazard: The migration of plasticizers may lead to endocrine disorders and damage to the reproductive system. Long-term exposure of children may affect their development.
