Assassin’s Creed: Film director discusses Double lead ratio: Choose whoever you want for core content
Not for the first time in the series, Assassin’s Creed: Shadow will have a dual protagonist mode, but the protagonist is also one of the points of contention for players, and some interested players want to know the ratio between the two characters.

In an interview with ScreenRant, Assassin’s Creed: Shadow director Jonathan Dumont explained how he splits time between the two main characters. Each character has unique strengths and weaknesses, mainly the difference between frontal combat and stealth, and he will switch to another character after three to four hours of play.
In terms of content, Dumont says that each main character has its own unique opening story and individual questlines, but in the core content section, he recommends that players only play their favorite characters.
“I don’t think you miss much,” he says. I think it depends more on your preference… Naogai and Yisuke can’t play each other’s personal questlines, but the core of the game is that you can pick your own fictional character, and the game ADAPTS to your choices.”
“We don’t force players to allocate their time. So if you have a preference for one character for any reason, you can always play with one.” He couldn’t give a specific percentage, but said that “quite a lot of the time” players can play either of the main characters.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadow will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 20.
