On June 9, 2025, POA Architecture (hereinafter referred to as POA) officially joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). This is an important milestone in POA’s development history and our firm commitment to contribute to promoting global sustainable development.
United Nations Global Compact Approval Letter
The United Nations Global Compact was established in 2000 and is affiliated to the United Nations Secretariat. Its headquarters is located in New York. Its main responsibility is to guide and support the global business community to promote the goals and values of the United Nations through responsible corporate behavior. As the world’s largest international organization promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainable development, it has more than 24,000 participating companies from nearly 170 countries (such as Microsoft, Google, Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, Toyota, Coca-Cola, KFC and other well-known companies), aiming to mobilize the business community to comply with the ten basic principles in human rights, labor standards, environment and anti-corruption, and actively promote the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Since its establishment, the company has always adhered to the concept of sustainable development. All our architectural designs are guided by the principles of “simplicity, diversity, unity, uniqueness and clear order”. At present, about 1/3 of the world’s carbon emissions come from buildings each year, which makes us more aware of the corporate responsibility of the company.
Our project design, planning and practice work keep up with the latest and most cutting-edge concepts. In the design, we fully maintain in-depth dialogue with planners and owners, carry out functional planning according to local conditions, and establish a regional image. This is the key to POA’s creation of classic architectural works.
